Care How To Wash Silk Clothes In The Machine:
- Place the silk garment in a protective bag
- Use neutral detergent or delicate detergent
- Gentle or cold wash cycle
- Do not spin the product in the machine
Care How To Hand Wash Silk Clothes:
- Fill a bucket with cold water diluted with neutral or delicate
detergent, or if necessary, a stain remover for fine fabrics
- Leave the garment in the bucket of water for 30 minutes
- Scrub the piece gently and then rinse in cold water
- Never wring out silk garments
Care How To Dry:
- Lay out the wet piece on a clean soft towel, rolling the pieces together carefully so that the towel absorbs most of the moisture, with only light pressure, if necessary repeat the process again with a clean towel
- Let it dry naturally without heat sources, radiators or direct sunlight
Scarf Silk Pocket Neck Sofia Areal
Sofia Areal was born in 1960 in Lisbon. She is one of the most renowned portuguese artists of today. She started her training in the UK with Textile Design and the Foundation Course at the Hertfordshire College of Art and Design, in St. Albans. In Portugal, she studies in the Printmaking and Painting ateliers at Ar.Co., in Lisbon.
He has exhibited collectively since 1982 and individually since 1990. During his more than 30 years of career, besides painting and drawing, he has also developed his activity in the areas of illustration, graphic design and scenography. More recently, in 2012, he illustrates the magazine Colóquio Letras, published by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In 2013 he launches a book together with Harvard Professor Emeritus Allan Hobson - "Creativity/Creativity" and exhibits in Mexico. This is followed by an exhibition in China (Macao S.A.R.) in 2014.
Through this collaboration with Antiflop, the artist comes now, with a new look, to return to textiles, activity with which she began her training as an artist.
Her works are represented in national and international private collections and institutions: Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Fundação de Serralves, Caixa Nova de Galiza, Fundação FEVAL, Caceres, Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Funchal, Casa da Cerca - Centro de Arte Contemporânea, Fundação Carmona e Costa, Millenium BCP, Coleção Novo Banco, Fundação PLMJ Advogados, Fundação D.Luís I - Centro Cultural de Cascais, among many others.
