Nélio Saltão was born in 1949 in Amieiro.
He is an "honored" member of the family of the Casino Estoril Art Gallery. A painter of great quality. His favorite color is red, having done in January 2008, one of the best exhibitions of his life which he rightly called "Red". He is one of the painters who has most risen in quality in his generation of plastic artists.
Nélio Saltão's exhibitions are abstract festivals of color, strong and powerful colors, colors with which painting is made: beauty and color for excellence.
